Fundraising

The Wessex Cancer Trust is an independent charity which has raised over £17million to help improve the lives of those people with cancer, their families and carers. Dedicated people across the Wessex region help by generously giving their time to fundraise and publicise the work of the Trust.

But we need more people to join us in fundraising to help us to help others!

There are lots of ways to fundraise and volunteer for the Trust, either as an individual, as a WCT group or an independent group.

Individuals raise funds by doing sponsored events such as parachute jumps, walks, running and swimming, car boot sales, helping in our charity shops and befriending service, and through lots of other fun and creative ways.

WCT Volunteer Groups set themselves up with a Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer. The groups fundraise in all manner of ways from holding events such as wine tasting, garden parties, swimathons, lunches, concerts and through many more new and ambitious ideas! The groups also help out at fundraising events that the Trust holds which is a huge help. We couldn't do it without their support!

Independent Teenage and Youth Groups such as those in colleges, universities and other organisations can determine how their group will work best for them and us to raise much needed funds to help others

Volunteers are also hugely important in raising awareness of the work of the Trust. It is so important that we keep our profile in the public eye so as to reach as many people in the Wessex region as possible.

No matter how you decide the best way for you to support the work of the Trust, we will be here to help and support you!

Thank you for your support
